MVN University (MVNU) is a Private University founded by Modern Vidya Niketan Society under Haryana State Private University Act. M.V.N. stands for Modern Vidya Niketan. MVN Society is in the field of education for more than 31 years as of 2015. It was in the year 1983 that MVN Society was founded and the same year it founded Modern Vidya Niketan Senior Secondary School in Sector 17. The school was founded under the dynamic leadership of Late Shri Gopal Sharma, a great visionary and noted educationist. In the year 2000, M.V.N. Aravali Hills was founded. Then in 2008, Les Filles MVN Institute of Engineering and Technology (Girls College) and Gopal Sharma MVN Institute of Engineering and Technology (Co-ed) were founded. In 2009, Modern Vidya Niketan School, Palwal was founded. MVN University has an area of 23-acre campus which includes schools providing different degrees and courses. The Evaluation system at the University is based on the internationally prevalent credit system continuous evaluation methods in all the programmes. Hostels – The University has off-campus hostels for girls and boys amenities like the common room, indoor games. The hostels also have mess facility, 100% power backup, round-the-clock water supply and indoor gym. Training and Placement Department – It organizes all on-campus and off-campus tests and interviews. It enables the Aspirants to understand the organizations and their requirements as well as prepare the Aspirants not only for their first job but also for a lifetime. To make every student industry-ready, a special training programme called Training and Placement Programme (TPP) is conducted. The MVNU conducts 12 academic programmes as Polytechnic diploma, Graduate, and PG in various disciplines of engineering, management, pharmacy, computer application, and commerce. University Provides education in Diploma in Pharmacy and Medical Laboratory Technology along with undergraduate courses in B.Tech., B.Tech (Lateral entry), BCA, B.Sc., BBA, B.Com., B.Pharma., and BPT. It also Provides PG in M.Tech. and MBA. University extends its education to Law courses as well offering 5 years integrated B.A. LL.B. and BBA LL.B., 3-year LL.B. and one year LLM courses. University has also extended the courses to Ph.D. and Research level. Aspirants applying for UG courses must have passed the 12th examination with at least 50% marks. Applicants to B.Tech. course needs to sit for JEE Main exam to be eligible for admission to the course. Applicants to B.Pharma. must have passed with 50% marks in 12th with Physics and Chemistry as major subjects while for D.Pharma program, Chemistry and Mathematics are necessary. To apply for Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology (DMLT), Aspirants must clear 12th with 45% marks. To be eligible for 2-year MBA course, one must clear 3-year bachelor’s degree with at least 50% marks.
